The first Indian man will go to the ISS on 10 June 2025

India is ready to create space history once again! After 40 years, an Indian is going to space again—and this time the mission is even bigger and bolder and is happening with international collaboration.

Wing Commander Shubhanshu Shukla, a 39-year-old Indian Air Force pilot, will become the first Indian to go to the International Space Station (ISS) after Rakesh Sharma (he will go for the first time after 1984).

This mission is not just a personal or patriotic moment—it is a strong signal from India to the world that “we are serious about the space race.”

👨‍🚀 Who is Shubhanshu Shukla?

An experienced pilot of the IAF who has 15+ years of flying experience. He has been selected after tough screening by ISRO and IAF. He has completed weightlessness, space survival, and international training programs.

He will travel in SpaceX’s Dragon capsule, which is operated by Axiom Space (USA)—in collaboration with NASA.

🔬 Experiments

– AI in zero gravity—bacteria growth in space.
– Indian food & medicine testing in orbit
– Mini satellite deployments
🌍 Orbit Altitude: 400 km
🌊 Return Site: Atlantic Ocean (via parachute splashdown)

🇮🇳 What does all this mean for India?

Now India is not just a country launching satellites—now we have entered crewed missions as well. And that too through smart partnerships.

Earlier we had

✔️ Chandrayaan-3
✔️ Mangalyaan

✔️ Aditya-L1-like missions
Now human mission till ISS = global soft power + space leadership

🔭 What will happen next

🔹 ISRO and Indian labs will analyse data collected from the ISS.
🔹 Practical experience will be obtained for Gaganyaan 2026 (Indian astronauts in Indian rocket)
🔹 Shukla will become the brand ambassador of future Indian missions

🧪 Shortlist of Unique Experiments

🧬 Experiment 🎯 Purpose

Desi Food in Space Indian spices ka behavior in microgravity
AI Camera from ISS Machine learning from Earth observation
Bacterial Culture Growth How will Indian bacteria react in space?
Mental Health Monitor to track astronauts’ stress levels live.

🧠 Final Thought

This 2025 mission is not another rocket launch—it is a statement. India is saying:
“Now we are also ready—to lead in space.”
So brothers and sisters, fasten your seat belts. India’s space ride is now going to get faster! 🌠
